Don't get me wrong, I'm as much of a transit junkie as anyone else that reads this stuff, but completely eliminating the need - never mind the desire! - for personal transportation is a pipe dream. In my opinion, an underground garage is the best kind of garage. Sure, it's a big empty space that is, as far as we here are concerned, fairly useless. The awesome thing about big empty spaces, though? Endless possibilities.
